In writing about the 2008 Telluride Film Festival, TIO's Susan Viebrock (full disclosure: we've been married nearly 20 years) gave raves to "Slumdog", which premiered in Telluride. The article was written Sept 3, 2008, so it didn't come as a big surprise to us that the film gathered Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director (Danny Boyle) on its way to picking up a total of eight Oscars out of ten nominations.
