It’s Friday the 13th, but Telluride Inside… and Out’s fashion goddess Kristin Holbrook of Two Skirts is not worried. Business is strong in her Main Street store, where she has fashion basics and classics for everyone – even small women, even petites, the subject of this week’s Fashion Friday.
Time was small people were victims of discrimination. Remember Randy Newman’s ironic, but nonetheless scathing attack in the song “Short People” from his 1977 album “Little Criminals?” But Kristin says the days of the Missy Petite Department are fading into history as must-haves such as designer jeans now come in petite sizes stocked in boutiques like Two Skirts.
