Happy Birthday Marine Corps from Telluride Inside... and Out

Today is the 234th birthday of the US Marine Corps. Telluride Inside... and Out is proud to add our congratulations and thanks to the Corps and to the men and women, present and past who have contributed to the history of the Marine Corps.

Authorized by the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775, Marines have participated in every major conflict the US has been involved in. Most recently Marines have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In the interest of full disclosure, I was on active duty with the USMC from January, 1961-July, 1965 as a fighter pilot, and consider my experience with the Corps some of the most valuable in my life.
