C&D_2477 For sure the whole is greater than the sum of its parts when Telluride’s Dolce Jewels and CashmereRed get together to party. Thursday, February 17, 6 – 8 p.m., the two stores host their 2nd annual Cashmere & Diamonds event at Dolce, 226 West Colorado. This year the featured designers are Begg of Scotland and Pamela Froman.

Pamela Froman’s fine jewelry collection is comprised of handmade, one-of-a-kind, limited edition pieces fashioned from multiple colors of precious metals (22 karat gold or platinum) and rare natural stones.

Born and raised in New York by her mother, the well-known sculptor and designer, Ann Froman, Pamela graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. The Pamela Froman Jewelry Collection debuted in Las Vegas in 2006. In 2008, the artist was identified as one of the “10 Best New Jewelry Designers” by InDesign Magazine. Froman also received the prestigious Town & Country Couture Design Award for Best of Gold, often referred to as the “Oscar of the jewelry industry.”

Opened for business in 1869, Begg of Scotland creates some of the world’s finest cashmere accessories, woven, not knit Among the tour de force creations made by Begg’s master craftsmen are tissue-weight scarves as warm as the summer sun. Think of these accessories as cotton candy for the neck. And just as sticky: once you get your hands on one, guaranteed you’ll want another.

Cashmere & Diamonds hosts Beau Staley and Caci Grinspan plan to serve their guests cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
