DOG’S BEST FRIEND: DRAKE DEMOS THE REMOTE “STAY”

In this week’s video, Ted Hoff of Cottonwood Ranch and Kennel is working with his young Yellow Lab male, Drake. In demonstrating the remote “Stay!” command, Ted has to raise his voice, but it’s the distance, not his demeanor which has influenced the sound. The formula for success remains the same: repetition, vocal and physical praise. Drake’s personality is different from Mae’s, requiring some modifications in the training. But the overall approach remains the same.
