Tickets for Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, held September 13-15, 2013, are currently on sale.

“We are truly looking forward to celebrating our 20th year in Telluride,” said Steve Gumble, Festival Director. “I look back fondly over the years, growing from a small four-hour beer tasting with 20 brews and a handful of people, into a three-day music festival with 150 different beers, thousands of thirsty fans, and artists like The Black Crowes and Melissa Etheridge. I have to pinch myself!”

Kicking off the 2013 festival, the Black Crowes have assembled a mighty band for this year’s Lay Down With Number 13 tour. In addition to the brothers Robinson on vocals and guitar, they’ll have Steve Gorman on drums, and longtime bassist Sven Pipien on board. Blues & Brews fans will remember keyboardist Adam MacDougall’s unbelievable performance with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood in 2012. Blues & Brews regulars will also be delighted to welcome back festival favorite, Jackie Greene on guitar and vocals.

Singer/songwriter Jim James has spent the better part of almost two decades as the lead singer and songwriter of My Morning Jacket. Through six studio albums, My Morning Jacket has grown into one of the most acclaimed rock and roll bands in the world. James’ even played a wider role in indie rock during the early 21st century, appearing on albums by several artists (including Bright Eyes, M. Ward, America, and Bobby Bare, Jr.). James’ latest debut solo album, Regions of Light and Sound of God, showcases James’ soulful songwriting, his captivating voice, and his talents as both a producer and engineer. Perhaps lessor known to our veteran festival followers, this is a performance not to miss.

The critically-acclaimed songwriter, Melissa Etheridge headlines the final day of Telluride Blues & Brews 2013. Etheridge is touring in support of her 12th record 4th Street Feeling, a musical look back at her Kansas roots. Known for her killer guitar playing, she plays all the guitar parts on the new record and the songs display all the deep confidence and wisdom of someone who has lived her life to its fullest. We are happy to welcome Etheridge for her first  appearance in our box canyon.
