Pastor Pat Bailey, Insights: Repentence

Last Sunday my sermon featured the important concepts of repentance and mind. Many Christians do not fully grasp the connection between some of Christianity’s key concepts with the larger context of Greek philosophy and religion. The message of repentance (metanoia)  is an invitation to change one’s mind, to live into a new direction and orientation for life. Paul’s use of the philosophical term “mind” (nous) is similar to Spirit, and Paul boldly proclaims that we have, share, are the mind of Christ.
