When readers fill out the resort survey to rank the best resorts in North America, most have great things to say. However, not everyone likes a given resort. We get thousands and thousands of comments, and, after sorting through all of them, here are some of the funny/odd/interesting ones. But because we don’t like to hurt feelings, we kept the resort names out of it….

Continue here for the comments.

And here’s what Rob Storys little story about Telluride from Ski’s survey:

We don’t want to take undue credit, but following years of elite rankings in SKI’s Resort Guide Scenery category—including No. 1 yet again this year—Telluride has circled back to the motto it brandished in the 1990s: “The Most Beautiful Place You’ll Ever Ski.” Coincidence? You be the judge. Or let the reader who raves, “The most scenic place in North America,” make the call. The resort also boasts a No. 1 rank in Character thanks to the town’s National Historic District status. The mountain’s vertical, meanwhile, is gobsmacking: a thigh-melting 3,845 feet, and you can bump that up to 4,425 feet if you choose to hike up 13,320 foot Palmyra Peak. (Its slopes are patrolled).

Telluride fans, locals and returning guests, won’t find it surprising to see two of the resort’s rankings: #1 for scenery and, well, #45 for access.
Telski also ranked in the top 10 for service (7); character (3); lodging (5); après (6), variety (4); challenge (7; and grooming (10).
And Siam Telluride  with its mouthwatering menu of traditional and contemporary Thai cuisine, was cited once again for best grub.
