Saturday venues, Art + Architecture weekend.

Art + Architecture Weekend showcases 10 venues reaching from W. Colorado Ave. to the Pandora development east of town.

The 2017 event features eight contemporary homes and condos and two alternative venues, including the Telluride Historical Museum and a glamping #vanlife set up. The self-guided tour showcases Telluride’s creative talent across all disciplines via what adds up to the ultimate home tour, Telluride-style.

“We are proud to showcase the creativity that exists here in Telluride,” says Pepper Raper, Communications Director, Telluride Arts. “The weekend is a fun, engaging, and immersive happening featuring great venues which stimulate interaction between attendees and artists.”

The 2017 venues are just as diverse as the artists, featuring homes of contemporary design like The Aerie Galena and Art House to the new deed-restricted development on Spruce Street, where three different units are to be shown.

Called the Gr8ful Eight, each condo showcases a different Telluride artist including Judy Haas, Ryan Bonneau, and Alyssa Flewelling.

East of town in Pandora a surreal art installation by Katy Parnello, which complements the high-end camper vans of Telluride Venture Accelerator cohort, Jetti.

Four venues – WillowTop, Lucky Star, West Pac, and the Snip Residence – are innovative renovation projects re-imagined by local architects. On display is everything from musical duo Porch Couch to jewelry -makers, painters, and photographers.

Sunday venues, Art + Architecture weekend.

Complementing the architecture, design, and visual arts is cuisine and mixology.

Local chefs provide tasty bites in concert with the site experience; tour-goers get to sip on wine and spirit tastings, while taking in each venue.

Those food-and-beverage pairings are always a favorite part of the weekend.

After it’s all over, participants are asked to vote for their favorite venue and chef.

Winners receive cash prizes and an advertising opportunity in Mountain Living Magazine.
