Telluride Library: Friends Of The Library Book Sale

Labor Day weekend and the Telluride Film Festival mark the end of the summer season in Telluride, the crowds and the traffic –  well almost.

Telluride Blues & Brews is right around the corner? (September 15 – 17.) And with it, more stars are on our horizon. Bonnie Raitt is coming to town along with Steve Winwood, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo and Anders Osborne.

Need a time out before the next wave of fun and games?

Need a break from a screen?

Try something exotic.

Try reading a book.

You know, a book, one of those written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers and having nothing whatsoever to do with a screen or a touchpad.

And you can buy your next book fat a deep discount thanks to Telluride’s Wilkinson Public Librarys Friends of the LibraryThe next sale takes place this year Thursday, September 7 through Sunday, September 9 in the Program Room.

The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, September 7, 4:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.: Pre-Sale for Volunteers and Friends of the Library (FOL) Members

Note: One can become FOL member at the pre-sale and throughout the three day sale. New and renewing FOL memberships will be extended through 2018 and these new and renewed members may obtain 4 free books at the sale.

Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Students Pick a Free Book Day Saturday, BIG BAG SALE Saturday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Note: Buy a bag for one dollar and fill the bag for $9.

New and renewing FOL memberships will be extended through 2018 and these new and renewed members may obtain 4 free books at the sale.

Sunday, September 10, 10:00 a.m. to noon: BIG BAG SALE Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to noon
