Telluride Bluegrass: Lineup/Tickets for 2018

The 45th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival announces the initial lineup for the weekend, June 21-June 24, on the winter solstice, or exactly 6 months from opening morning.

Discount tickets for Telluride locals/San Miguel residents are still available exclusively at Telluride Music. Before the Telluride Music processing fees, 4-day passes are discounted $10; single-day tickets are discounted $5. There is a limit of 2 4-day passes or 2 single-day tickets (per day) to each SMC resident.Tickets for the general public went on sale 2 weeks ago here or 800-624-2422.  More information here. 

In addition to the many bluegrass all-stars across the generations who return for this 45th Anniversary celebration (from Sam Bush, Del McCoury, Emmylou Harris, Tim O’Brien, Telluride House Band  –  to Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mtn String Band, Leftover Salmon, Punch Brothers, Stringdusters) this year’s lineup also includes:
“Live from Here” with Chris Thile. The national live radio broadcast of this 2-hour music variety show — formerly known as A Prairie Home Companion — will be broadcast live from the Main Stage on Saturday afternoon featuring the music and culture of Telluride Bluegrass.
Sturgill Simpson, the daring, genre-expanding country superstar.
St. Paul & the Broken Bones, acclaimed soul band from Birmingham, Alabama.
I’m With Her: Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz & Aoife O’Donovan, an all-star trio who “formed” at TBF a few years ago.
The Wood Brothers, high-energy rootsy trio led by Colorado-raised brothers.
Edgar Meyer & Christian McBride, a duet of the world’s two greatest upright bassists.
Peter Rowan & the Free Mexican Airforce featuring Flaco Jimenez. The 78-year-old Flaco Jimenez is the King of Tex-Mex accordion.
