Telluride’s Gus Kenworthy at the Olympics

Telluride’s Gus Kenworthy is sponsored by Samsung, who sent the following video about our homie. The theme of Samsung’s Olympic campaign “Do What You Can’t,” which translates to igniting the Olympic spirit by encouraging everyone to break down barriers to fuel meaningful progress and do what can’t be done. The company sees Gus as the living embodiment of that idea.

“We felt the best way to support the Olympic spirit was by telling the inspiring stories of Olympians. These aren’t just amazing athletes; they’re amazing people. Olympians like Chloe Kim and Gus face barriers in life, but through perseverance and determination they can overcome them and achieve the impossible. This is a true embodiment of the ‘Do What You Can’t spirit of Samsung’ and we’re proud to support them and all Olympians,” said Alex Chang, Head of Partnership Marketing, Samsung America. “Gus Kenworthy is ready for his close up, returning to the Olympic stage in PyeongChang after earning silver in Sochi.”

Further, according to the company, “Gus Kenworthy has yet to compete in PyeongChang, he is already one of the most talked about and popular athletes this Winter Games due to his amazing story.”

Don’t we here in Telluride know that.
