Telluride Medical Center: Seeking Patient Advisory Council Members

The Telluride Medical Center (TMC) is seeking a minimum of two more locals to join their volunteer Patient Advisory Council created to enhance the patient care experience.

TMC’s Patient Advisory Council was formed in 2013 and includes patients, family members of patients and caregivers. The Council meets quarterly to identify and communicate flaws in processes and services and to offer ways to improve overall care and promote improved relationships between patients, families and staff.

“Because this is a group of patients, they are able to illuminate blind spots we, as healthcare workers, have no idea exist,” said TMC Executive Director, Gordon Reichard.

Reichard hopes to attract at least two more patients to the Council and is especially interested in recruiting volunteers from the Hispanic community.

Those interested should call 728-9782 or email Reichard at greichard@tellmed.org
