Club Red, an intimate pop up venue within the conference center in Mountain Village which features plush decor, VIP seating and bottle service, is the brainchild of Beyond the Groove’s Denise Mongan, a long-time producer of quality (and ofttimes edgy) live music shows. Her New Year’s Eve show is a case in point, featuring Justin Townes Earle and a full band.

Earle comes by his chops naturally: he is the son of alt country star Steve Earle and godson of the legendary Townes Van Zandt.

Doors are at 8 p.m.; show time is 8:30 p.m. Event ends at 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and available here or at Wizard Entertainment.

Once compared to a man who wears many suits, in 32 short years Justin Townes Earle has experienced more than most, both personally and professionally. Between releasing four full-length-critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, multiple stints in rehab, a new-found sobriety, amicable and not-so-amicable break-ups with record labels, and facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life, it’s safe to say JTE has quite the story to tell.

His fifth album (and first ever on Vagrant Records) served as the perfect platform for such narrations.

Single Mothers is comprised of ten tracks that showcase exactly why Justin Townes Earle is considered a forefather of contemporary Americana. As a recently married, sober man JTE writes from a point of maturity and content we’ve not seen before on past records.

“One day I just realized it’s not cool to die young, and it’s even less cool to die after 30,” Justin states as he reflects on a life past and his newly found clarity.

Following the success of  Single Mothers, Justin Townes Earle is about to release the companion album, Absent Fathers.

Earle is the proud recipient of two Americana Music Awards: in 2009, as emerging artist of the year; in 2011 for song of the year with Harlem River Blues.
