The final show of the Holiday Concert Series at the historic Sheridan Opera House features Brothers Keeper.

Brothers Keeper is a trio from Vail which has played/collaborated with an impressive list of artists including John Oates, Dean Ween and John Popper of Blues Traveler. The group will be joined by John Popper and Jono Manson, a pioneering musician and producer who’s worked with the likes of Phish, Blues Traveler and Spin Doctors.

Brothers Keep is Scott Rednor on guitar, Michael Jude on bass, and John Michel on drums, all transplants to the mountains of Vail and Roaring Fork Valleys from the East Coast.

For the past 15 years, Jude and Michel have played regularly with the John Oates Band (Hall and Oates) and many other world renowned musicians, while Rednor has been involved in recording and touring projects on a national level for more than 20 years.

Rednor now owns Shakedown Bar in Vail where he serves as music director and brings in national talent from around the world. It is there the trio has made their home among an amazing cast of rotating musicians. The venue is also where “Brothers Keeper Featuring Series” takes place, the first of which featured Popper and Manson.

Rednor originally met Popper at the HORDE festivals in the mid-1990s and since then they have done a lot of touring together. Manson is from New York City, where he helped pioneer the Nightingales/Wetlands uprising that spawned Phish, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, and many more successful bands. Rednor has opened up for High Plains Drifter, which was a super group of sorts, fronted by Manson, featuring members of a few of those aforementioned popular bands.

It was the recollection of those raucous rock and roll sets that inspired the initial collaboration with Brothers Keeper. After their first show together, Popper suggested a project. The response was to write and record the album that will be released on 8150 Records late this summer, entitled Todd Meadows. This debut from Brother Keeper & friends is an Americana/rock recording featuring five lead singers, bringing together their wealth of experience and wide range of musical styles. Guests on the album include Jason Crosby (Phil Lesh and Friends), Glenn McClelland (Ween), DJ Logic, Joel Guzman, and Rob Eaton Jr.

Tickets for Brothers Keeper are $25 GA on the floor & $35 reserved seats in the balcony and available online at sheridanoperahouse.com.
