The Durango Blues Train returns Friday and Saturday, May 29 and May 30, two unforgettable evenings of music aboard the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This unique live music event takes place aboard an historic steam train in Durango, Colorado, with each night featuring two full bands and four solo/duo artists.

Musicians perform in their own vintage coach, while passengers are free to sample each musical act by traveling from one rail car to next. Don’t miss this music experience of a lifetime as tickets are limited for the event. Tickets for each evening’s event are on sale now at Durangobluestrain.com.

“We’re excited to continue the Blues Train for its fifth anniversary aboard the historic railroad,” said Steve Gumble, founder of the Durango Blues Train. “We have some incredible musicians booked for 2015.”

The 2015 Blues Train welcomes musical guests Dan Treanor’s Afrosippi Band with Erica Brown and MJ, Dragondeer, Mark “Porkchop” Holder, A.J. Fullerton featuring Big John Shrader, Cary Morin and Grant Sabin.

The 3 ½ hour excursion begins at the historic train depot at 7:00 p.m., when the steam engine fires up and it’s all aboard for an experience of a lifetime. Passengers experience spectacular canyon views of Colorado’s San Juan National Forest as the train winds onto the “Highline,” a world-famous section of railroad crawling along cliffs high above the Animas River. The train returns back to the depot in Durango at approximately 10:20 p.m.

While riding the train, guests can enjoy beverages, including beer and wine, plus light snacks.

Tickets are $95 per person, plus a 7% Historic Train Preservation fee. Tickets are extremely limited and purchasers must be 21-years-old+ to participate.
