Tickets are now on sale for the Durango Blues Train,  Friday and Saturday, August 12th and 13.

Presented by SBG Productions and the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, the Durango Blues Train is a unique, live music experience that takes place aboard the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in Durango, Colorado. Two bands and four duo/solo musicians perform in vintage coach cars, while passengers enjoy each musical act by dancing from one rail car to next.

The Durango Blues Train is pleased to announce the artists performing each night on August 12th and 13th. The second weekend installment of the Blues Train welcomes musical guests Hazel Miller Band, JW-Jones, Reverend Deadeye, Low Volts, Todd and the Fox and John Long. For line-up details, click here.

“We are excited to bring the Blues Train to Durango once again. Each year, the train grows in popularity. Tickets for the Blues Train on June 3rd and 4th sold out in record time,” said Steve Gumble, founder of the Durango Blues Train. “We’re looking forward to the August event which has performers from as far away as Canada.”

Each evening on the Blues Train treats passengers to a series of intimate concerts for three and a half hours aboard the 100+-year-old steam powered train. Each coach has its own performer with no more than 40 passengers in each coach. Passengers experience breathtaking views of the San Juan National Forest including the “Highline”, a world famous section of railroad crawling along cliffs high above the Animas River. Guests can enjoy light snacks and beverages including wine and beer from sponsors Telluride Brewing Company and Ska Brewing aboard the train.

Tickets are $95 per person per night, plus a Historic Train Preservation fee. Tickets are limited and will sell out in advance. Purchasers must be 21 years old to participate. Tickets will be available online here.
