“The Telluride Art and Architecture weekend is an opportunity to experience the extraordinary creative talents of the artists, architects, designers, builders, and chefs who work in the Telluride Arts District. The event is in its fifth year, with artists of all kinds working together to infuse each stop on the tour with exquisite art and food and wine pairings,” Kate Jones, executive director, Telluride Arts.
This year, the Telluride Art + Architecture Weekend features eight beautiful Telluride homes by local and internationally known architects and two exciting surprise venues. From a tiny garage home featuring many artists, to a multi-million dollar penthouse with 360-degree views of Town, this year’s tour offers it all. Go here for full list of each location on the tour.
ABOUT THE WEEKEND:
Quite simply. It’s the ultimate home tour, Telluride style.
The Telluride Art + Architecture Weekend is the ultimate home tour for the connoisseur. Linger at each venue for an intimate peek into the work of our local architects, designers, artists, and chefs who provide home tours, art exhibits, performances, and food and wine tastings at each stop.
Two Days. Ten Venues.
Over the course of two days, the self-guided tour spans five different stops per day, ten over the weekend. The tour includes new and historic homes and one alternative venue daily. Each location features tours with the architects and designers, tastings by local chefs, with wine pairings in the kitchen, and the works of local artists.
2016 EVENT SCHEDULE:
To launch the weekend, this year the tour offers lots of free events, including guest lectures given by Santa Fe-based sculptor Kevin Box and Denver-based design firm Fin Art, as well as a Telluride favorite, Twenty(by)Telluride featuring presentations by five artists about what makes them tick.

• Thursday, July 14, 5-7 p.m., Industry Meet + Greet, Basecamp, 135 West Pacific
• Thursday, July 14, 7 p.m., Artist Reception + Lecture with Kevin Box, Dolce
• Saturday, July 16, 10 a.m., Guest Designer Lecture with Fin Art, Basecamp, 135 West Pacific
• Saturday + Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Trunk Show with Fin Art, Basecamp, 135 West Pacific
• Saturday, July 16, 12-5 p.m. : SELF-GUIDED TOUR
• Sunday, July 17, 11-12 p.m.: Historic Walking Tour of the Telluride Historic Landmark District. Leaves Basecamp at 11am.
• Sunday, July 17, 12-5 p.m.: SELF-GUIDED TOUR
• Sunday, July 17, 5-8 p.m.: Closing Party + Prize Announcements, Basecamp, 135 West Pacific

Day Pass: $90
Single Venue Entrance: $25 (At door to venue day of)
Weekend Pass includes:

*The tour requires a ticket (wristband) that must be visible throughout the event.
“I joined the board of Telluride Arts in 2011 because I felt I wanted to dive into the community on a non-profit level. Kate Jones had just moved here from Washington to be our new Executive Director and I felt she was the woman we needed to rebrand, focus, and move the organization forward. There are incredible people involved with this organization and over the five short years I’ve been a part of Telluride Arts, we’ve developed intelligently in the right direction. We have great programming in place like Twenty by Telluride, First Thursday Art Walk and our fledgling festival Art + Architecture. A+A is a really special weekend that showcases all the creatives of Telluride in a unique way. From culinary masters to interior designers to emerging visual artists, the set-up is such that it allows for collaboration among artists across mediums. There are teams of artists that create a whole production for guests to experience. This enables a new world to develop from venue to venue,” Meghann McCormick, board member.
