Your Inner Athlete: Rest & Recovery

Your Inner Athlete: Rest & Recovery

Dr. Haley Perlus is a regular presenter at the Telluride WOW Festival. This week she talks about the need for rest and recovery, as an athlete and in life in general. But rest and recovery can be “active,” just a notch or two down from your norm.

About Dr. Haley Perlus:

Dr. Haley Perlus is a regular presenter at the Telluride WOW Festival, where this year she talked about “The Psychology Behind Good Nutrition” and “The Only Way to Really Conquer Your Fear.” Missed it? Here’s the skinny: in its fourth year, Becca Tudor’s and Albert Roer’s WOW once again lived up to the superlative acronym that is its name: Becca Tudor’s awesome Weekend of Wellness celebrates overall fitness, including ways to grow a spine, man up –  yoga, kettle bell, Pilates, cycling – and also get educated about health trends in general through lectures by doctors, nutritionists, and renowned experts in the field of sports psychology. Experts such as Haley, a stand-out on a long list of superstar women featured every year at Telluride WOW, a no-miss event if you are on a path towards personal transformation.

I attended Haley’s first lecture about the psychology behind good nutrition and overall health. The holistic contents turned out to be a back door to ways to live a healthy life in general. We were all left wanting more from this buff, blonde brainiac, so Telluride Inside… and Out invited Haley to blog on our site. Lucky for us, Haley agreed.
