The Telluride Film Festival is pleased to present the Sunday at the Palm series in collaboration with the Telluride R-1 School District. Free community screenings run throughout the school year and continue this month with the classic Greek mythological adventure, CLASH OF THE TITANS.
This epic fantasy retells the story of Perseus (Harry Hamlin) using the beautiful stop-motion visual effects of artist Ray Harryhausen. It is has been suggested that “most people today who are aware of the story of Perseus and Medusa owe their knowledge to the 1981 film.” (From Stephen R. Featuring towering monsters such as the sea creature, the Kracken, as well as the snake-headed Medusa, giant scorpions and many others – the film follows Perseus’ journey to save the beautiful Andromeda. Along the way, he has the help of the magical flying horse, Pegasus, as well as his trusty owl, Bubo.
