Beyond the Groove, Telluride’s premier entertainment and music production company, recently announced its initial shows for winter 2017 at the intimate music venue, Club Red, in Mountain Village.
Two Nights of Music:
Beyond the Groove is thrilled to announce two back-to-back nights of music on January 12 and 13, 2017 at Club Red. The Motet will start the party on Thursday, January 12.
A Denver-based funk band with a fresh, soulful style, The Motet is famous for putting on energetic live shows at iconic venues across the country. The group has released seven studio albums including the most recent, Totem, but are best known for putting on infectious dance parties in Colorado and beyond.

Don’t miss the group’s stop at Club Red. Tickets for this show range in price from $25-$35. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The following evening, Friday, January 13, Club Red hosts what is sure to be an unforgettable night of music: “An Acoustic Evening with Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne.” This is a rare opportunity to see two of Telluride’s favorite artists perform back-to-back.
Jackie Greene will charm guests with the honesty of his compelling voice, vivid songwriting skills, and instinctive mastery of several instruments. His style is charged and timeless, drawing inspiration from American roots and collaborations with greats such as the Black Crowes, Phil Lesh, B.B. King, and others.

Telluride knows they can count on resident Telluride Blues & Brews performer Anders Osborne for a memorable evening of entertainment. His richly detailed songwriting, soulful vocals, and piercingly expert guitar skills, make Osborne among the most original and visionary musicians on the scene today.
To see intimate acoustic sets from both Greene and Osborne on the same night is a special treat that should not be missed. This is a show for all ages. Tickets range from $35 – $55. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, February 4, Devendra Banhart visits Club Red.
The music of this Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter and visual artist has been described variously as “psychedelic folk” and “New Weird America.” Specifically, SPIN magazine once said Banhart offers “ashram-appropriate guitar strums and trippy-hippie tone poetry.”
Seeing – or hearing – is believing.
Banhart is touring with songs from his ninth album, Ape in Pink Marble, which features the performer’s signature whispered lyrics and gentle keyboard. His is music made for the laid-back, lounge ambiance of Club Red.
This is “Middle Names,” from Banhart.
General admission tickets for Banhart’s show are $25; preferred seating tickets with a high table are $35; premium reserved seating tickets are $45. The show is for all ages. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.; show time is 7:30 p.m.
