Telski: Powder Happy(er) – Update, Revelation Bowl+

The first major dump on January 11, quieted some of the rumors about Telluride. After new storms on January 21 and January 22, 17″ of new in just 48 hours, the Telluride Ski Resort opened new terrain around Lifts 5, 6, 9, 10 & 11. The terrain parks in Ute Park  were opened too, along with the Nordic/Snowshoe trails. Lifts 12, 13 & 14 open for the season as of Friday, January 26. New terrain in Prospect Bowl (Lift 12) are also now open, as well as See Forever from the top of Gold Hill.

And now this in from Telski: The first part of this season was highlighted by amazing work from our snowmaking and grooming team. However, Mother Nature – and Ullr?– have taken over. Overall, we’ve had 33” of snowfall in the last seven days and just as A OPENSNOW predicted, it looks like we will get up to another foot of snow in Telluride. I can hear your hoots and hollers, especially with this new terrain added to our inventory.”

Earlier this week Telluride opened new terrain on Gold Hill: Electra, Dynamo, Millions and Little Rose.

On Valentine’s Day, Telski opened some hike-to area off the Prospect Lift, Confidence, Crystal & Genevieve, as well as Holy Cow and Runaway Train off Lift 10.

And there’s more to come… the ski resort plans to open Revelation Bowl by Saturday, in time for the holiday weekend.
