Telluride Inside... and Out is just past our first birthday and we felt it was time to a look backward to get an idea if we had done what we set out to do in August, 2008. In that look over our collective shoulder, mostly we are proud of what we have created.
The concept was to build a platform to talk about the Telluride lifestyle; the people who live here; what they do when here; what they do when they leave our high mountain valley; the artists, musicians, filmmakers, visitors who come here and enrich our lives. In short: Telluride, inside and out.

The tightly knit, yet widespread community of people and businesses associated with Telluride are uniquely poised to take full advantage of the powerful capabilities of social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. Even in the current economic climate, there are still buyers out there. The buyers and the sellers just need to find each other and that's where the internet and social media come into play.
In this interview with Telluride Inside... and Out, IT business consultant, Richard Sink discusses why LinkedIn and other social media applications are important tools that shouldn't be ignored for anyone intent on improving bottom line business results. Sink also clarifies the role of search in successful social media strategies and what he means by describing social media as an accelerant of brand equity.
Sink will provide more information about what social media can do for you as well as specific tips and tricks for how to take full advantage of the popular business-oriented social media platform, LinkedIn, in his presentation at the Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride on Wednesday, June 17.
Richard Sink is also available to Telluride locals for 1-1 consultations while he is in town.

Not only was Jodie a big TIO booster from the get-go, she walked her talk, applying her considerable talent for design to come up with the original concept for our spiffy new logo. Everyone else who weighed in on the project riffed off of Jodie's idea. We owe her a very special thanks.
We at Telluride Inside... and Out have been busy. Making changes to a love child is not an easy task, nor one undertaken lightly. Our extended team has spent hours on the phone, at our various computers, as well as a lot of individual soul-searching, but we believe the results are worth the effort. Jen Koskinen's photographs are featured, so Jen's input was sought and considered.
Jen and Kimm Viebrock consulted at length on the new color palette, and Kimm spent hours and days reconciling differences, offering the rest of the primary team (Susan and Clint, Kjerstin Klein, Eileen Burns) many alternatives. It has taken time to sort out all these different factors, but we are now ready to unveil our next step in the new look at TIO: TA DAH!
A big thank you goes out to son-in-law Michael Nesteroff for the use of his photograph of the Telluride skyline which graced these pages for the first nine months of TIO's existence. That picture gave us a high target to aim for in our writing and presentation. We hope that the new look will continue to inspire the writers and our readers.
