ALACAZEM 2012.10.25

October 25 to November 1, 2012        Visible Planets: Morning: Venus and Jupiter  Evening: Mercury, Mars and Saturn

Halloween. Witches, ghosts and goblins. Things that go bump in the night. Wicked winds and swirling leaves. The crack between the worlds, the thin veil between the physical and ethereal, the mystical realms of soul and spirit, all possibilities of life on the “other side.”

I have always been attracted to the numinous and divine. What fuels our hearts, besides blood and oxygen? What is that mysterious feeling that can unexpectedly, suddenly fill our hearts with hope, inspiration or passion? Is it love? God? How about deep feelings of gratitude, appreciation, humility and grace? What moves us to create? Or that bonding, physically transcendent feeling when we see a brilliant meteor flame out against the starry canopy of the night sky, experience a magnificently beautiful sunset or happen to catch a perfect wave in the aqua-blue waters of the Mexican ocean?

I am moved by nature, the wild and the free. We are primordial beings, connected to the roots of organic life here on Earth, and before Earth, our more cosmic origins. We are, essentially, the stars. Today I walk on pavement and concrete as well as the earthen paths of fields and forests. I use cell phones and computers, surf the Internet and watch satellite television on a 55” flat screen HD TV. I get up early to see Venus dazzle the predawn sky and cultivate a daily practice of periodic silence and meditation. I chart the movements of the planets and constellations, read when I can and write as often as possible. I feel the gap between the worlds, the cracks and veils of actual, virtual and metaphysical worlds. I am human and non-human, physical and spiritual. I am here and I am there; approaching All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day in our multi-faceted, multi-versed cosmos. The end and the beginning, the alpha and Omega. Nothing and everything, One.

Join me on this mystical, magical journey through space and time. Get out your magic wands, crystals, crosses, brooms and broomsticks. Look for omens, set out treats, cast spells and invoke spirits. And, of course, watch out for witches flying across the full Hunter’s Moon of Oct. 29th – or, better yet, meet me there!

Happy Halloween and may the spirits of beauty, love, hope, joy, peace and laughter be with you!

Aries (Mar. 20-Apr.19) The Taurus/Scorpio polarity of this week’s full “Hunters” Moon shines light upon your most basic, core values in relation to each and every relationship in your life. Money and resources are themes, as well as the deep psychological roots of intimacy, security and sustenance. The bottom line is good self-worth and self-esteem. Simply do your best!

Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20) Big day, big week, big year! 2012 carried generous, jovial Jupiter through Taurus, with all the bells and whistles. Expansion, exploration and discovery were themes. Doors opened and you walked through. Personal growth was a predominant theme. Now that you have found more than one new interest, continue to explore and expand. Enjoy the possibilities.

Gemini (May 21-June 21) Scorpio forces us to confront our fears and addictions, and release what we have outgrown – stifling jobs, relationships, behaviors, lifestyles – whatever is oppressive and unsustainable. This week, you may find that you are more than willing to let go, but the powers that be have you stuck. Acceptance is the golden key here. Turn it over and focus on you.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon highlights where we need to transform our personal relationships, and super-highlights our personal responsibility in doing so. Serious Saturn’s grand trine to Ceres in Cancer and Neptune and Chiron in Pisces summons forth the intuitive, nurturing, compassionate power of the feminine to show the way. Follow the light.

Leo (July 23-Aug.22) Master teacher Saturn conjuncts the Sun in Scorpio and opposes the waxing Moon in a declaration of personal reckoning, reconciliation and restitution. Honor your personal responsibilities and interdependence regarding others. Own your own power and think out of the box as you acknowledge the importance of cooperation and joy of intimacy.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep.22) The Taurus/Scorpio full Moon lunation each year is a fruitful time of hope and optimism for the Virgin. You can see and ultimately understand the higher purpose of your tests, trial and tribulations in life, no matter how hard or long you have had to work or endure. Gratitude is the golden key to happiness and this is the week to practice feeling it. Good luck!

Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22) Voluptuous Venus in Libra opposes disruptive, exciting Uranus in self-aware Aries and squares deep-tissue Pluto in authoritative Capricorn as the Moon grows full. This generates a potent cardinal T-square and dynamic grand cross which emphasizes the need for cooperation, ingenuity and integrity. Be sweet, but maintain your course. Be good.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) Happy birthdays continue as the Moon grows full. Count the candles and cut the cake, but as you do, remember to thank and bless those who have come with and carried you through your toughest, most excruciating trials and times. As you know, life is a continual process of birth, death and rebirth. Embrace all as it is and know that all is as it should be.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20) The global economic crisis began as Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, galvanizing worldwide movements for financial reform, as well as the creation of alternative currencies and collaborative consumption. Today, we are in the thick of it, with its ongoing chaotic, creative results. It’s all about the big picture, which is your forte. See it and be it. You know how.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19) We can try to run, be we can no longer hide from evolutionary forces of change. And this week’s full Moon shows exactly how far we have come and what we must deal with now. Bottom line: It’s all about respecting limits and transcending limitations. What is dead or dying in your life? What is crying to be born? Focus on core values and live in the light.

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18) Ruler Uranus continues to play its trickster role in the world’s ongoing global social, economic, political and spiritual crisis. As one how thrives on change, and yet also loves stability, you are perfect for these wild and wacky times. Rise above the hovel and see the far distant horizons of unlimited possibilities and potential. Travel the path one day and one step at a time.

Pisces (Feb. 18-Mar. 20) Going with the flow is natural for the flexible Fish, but sometimes it just feels outrageous. Accepting everything exactly as it is – exactly as it should be in this moment – can be a daunting task. Yet, it is one full of gentle grace and enlightened wisdom. This week’s full Moon encourages the light behind the shadow and the treasure beneath the surface. Relax.
