Cashmere Red: “Bring Your Own Mask (BYOM)” Initiative; Helps Locals in Need!

The team at CashmereRED just announced the launch of  its “Bring Your Own Mask and Give One Initiative.” Customers can buy a face mask, fashioned from men’s button-down dress shirts – yes, your discards are welcome – and give a face mask – (delivery or pick-up). Purchase online at cashmerered.com.

Note: When you buy your mask CashmereRed donates another to families in need through the Telluride Food Bank, run by Angel Baskets. About 11o families in need are positively impacted, a win-win. CashmereRed’s “Hero” option is for those of you who do not personally need a mask, but would like to donate them to the Telluride community to help others less fortunate.

Telluride-born LimeLoop is the eco-friendly shipper.

CashmereRED, a lifestyle company inspired by good design, today is proud to announce the release of its non-medical, reusable face masks with ties.

For each mask purchase, CashmereRED will donate one to a community member in need via Telluride Angel Baskets, our local food bank. The reusable mask, made in the USA of 100% upcycled cotton is designed with longevity in mind for machine washing.

Due to the nature of COVID-19, recommendations to reduce the chance of transmission are increasing. Reducing transmission includes the wearing of face masks for all public interactions. The use of a non-medical face mask will ensure medically necessary disposable N95 masks remain available to healthcare workers.

“When you’re out of the home, you should use a mask at all times,” “It’s about the right mask for the right job,” Gov. Jared Polis said Friday.

“Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities,” says the CDC.

CashmereRED is committed to flattening two curves: COVID-19 and climate change. Therefore the company is proud to announce its partnership with LimeLoop, a full-circle shipping solution and the most sustainable choice for sending and receiving goods. Every BYOM purchase will be received in a LimeLoop reusable package to use 200 more times for sending packages to friends and family. (For the record, LimeLoop was born and raised in Telluride.)

Whether in historic Telluride, Colorado, or from the comfort of your home, we invite you to cozy up and order one!

“Colorado’s inspiring approach to thoughtful innovation in all aspects of flattening the curves collectively created an exciting opportunity for us to rethink products of our time,” notes Caci Grinspan, CashmereRED founder. “We are thrilled, in partnership with LimeLoop and Angel Baskets, to launch a Bring Your Own Mask and Give One Initiative.”
